JOB TITLE:       Assembler I Subassembly


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:        Department  Supervisor




EMPLOYEE STATUS:    Hourly, Non-exempt


PURPOSE: The Assembler I performs a series of production tasks to assemble 1000 series fluid pouches, 1" tape,

6" tape & bridging.


AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY: Medical Drape Manufacturing Areas




1)        Ability to interact, respect and work along individuals with disabilities.

2)        Work cooperatively and demonstrate respect to team members.

3)        Become knowledgeable with reading product specifications and drawings.

4)        Willingness to be cross trained in various work cells on different style fluid pouches.

5)        Learn quality expectations of products being produced and keep accurate production records.

6)        Learn applications of FDA, ISO & GMP practices as it relates to HVO's quality system.

7)        Promptly advise immediate supervisor of any issues that may arise carrying out above responsibilities.

8)        Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or lead in designated area of responsibility.




1)           Must comply with HVO safety rules/regulations including keeping work area clean and organized.

2)           Maintain good hygiene and adhere to gowning procedures throughout the facility.

3)           Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors.

1)           Production experience or knowledge of production techniques in manufacturing preferred

2)           Ability to consistently meet production targets on productivity after training.

3)           Must be able to work in a team based manufacturing environment

4)           Capable of performing visual inspection of assemblies for quality compliance to specification.

5)            Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.





  1. Able to lift 30 - 40 pounds
  2. Good manual dexterity requiring hand-eye coordination
  3. Upper body repetitive motion requiring standing to perform task.





1)           Demonstrated ability to read and do basic math functions.

2)           High School Diploma or GED preferred
