JOB TITLE:       Lead Material Handler Full Body Line


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:        Department Supervisor




EMPLOYEE STATUS:    Non-exempt


PURPOSE: The Lead Material Handler will assist the Leads to keep work cells running efficiently.


AREA OF PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY:               Medical Drape Manufacturing Area




  1. Generate Material requests as needed to keep cells running consistently
  2. Retrieve totes of cut sheets and staged components from warehouse and deliver to work cells.
  3. Gather packed drapes, record quantities on DBH charts, transfer to Packaging Dept.
  4. Work cooperatively with and assist work cells to ensure they have all necessary supplies to run cells efficiently.
  5. Ability to issue materials and report labor to Manufacturing Orders in IBS as needed
  6. Ability to assist with Staging of Manufacturing Orders as needed.
  7. Ability to proofread labels per SOP 8.03
  8. Must be familiar with governing SOP's.
  9. Assist in Packaging Dept. as requested.
  10. Enter data in spreadsheets as requested.
  11. Fill in for Leads during absences.
  12. Perform other appropriate duties as requested by the supervisor in designated area.

  1. Preference will be given to applicants who meet all competencies for an Assembler II.
  2. Proven ability to read and understand a product drawing specification & perform WIP documentation.
  3. Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors.  2)            Ability to operate pallet jack and maneuver large totes. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:                High School Diploma/GED or proven work experience in related field.
  5. 3)            Ability to spend up to 10 hours walking, standing, pushing, pulling.
  6. 1)            Able to lift 30 - 40 pounds
